Just finished your Psychology degree and want experience that actually means something?
We're working with a welcoming KS2 primary school in the West End of Newcastle looking for a Psychology Graduate to join their team as a SEND Support Assistant . This is a brilliant role if you're considering a future in educational psychology, CAMHS, mental health, SEN teaching, or pastoral support .
You'll be supporting pupils who need a bit of extra help to thrive in school, whether that's with learning, behaviour, confidence, or emotional regulation.

ADHD
SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
Anxiety and emotional regulation challenges

Helping children manage emotions and behaviour in a positive, calm way
Building trust, routines, and confidence
Working with teachers and the SENCO to implement support strategies

A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
A calm, patient and resilient personality
Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence

Why this school? This is a supportive, down‐to‐earth team who genuinely value their support staff. They're looking for someone who can build strong relationships, bring positive energy, and stick with pupils through the ups and downs.
