Night Shift Security Guard (County Durham & Tees Valley) Location: County Durham & Tees ValleyShift Pattern: Night shifts (rota-based)Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (depending on availability)Salary: CompetitiveCompany: G&A SecurityAbout the Role G&A Security is expanding and we are now recruiting Night Shift Security Guards to support our growing operations across County Durham and the Tees Valley.This is a key role for reliable, professional, and customer-focused individuals who can deliver a visible security presence, respond effectively to incidents, and uphold the high standards our clients expect.You will be working across a variety of customer sites including commercial, industrial, and public-sector environments, supporting our security operations through overnight guarding and patrols.Key Responsibilities As a Night Shift Security Guard, your duties will include:Conducting regular patrols and security checks (internal and external)Monitoring and maintaining site safety and securityAccess control – signing visitors in/out and managing entry points where requiredReporting and documenting incidents accurately using company proceduresResponding calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, or suspicious activityLiaising with our in-house Control Room and duty management team when requiredMaintaining a professional image and strong customer service standards at all timesWhat We're Looking For We're looking for individuals who are:Professional, reliable and punctualConfident working independently during night hoursStrong communicators with a calm approach under pressureComfortable carrying out foot patrols and remaining alert throughout shiftsAble to travel across County Durham / Tees Valley for regional coverTo apply for this role, you must have:A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licenceA strong understanding of professional conduct and customer serviceGood written and verbal English (for report writing and incident updates)The ability to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays as requiredA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleWhat You'll Get in Return Working with G&A Security means joining a company that values professionalism, consistency, and people who take pride in doing the job properly.
