Junior WordPress Developer

Job description

Base pay rangeWe're looking for a Junior WordPress Support Developer to join our support team. You'll help keep client websites running smoothly, troubleshoot issues, and learn from experienced developers in a collaborative environment.

This is an ideal role for someone with some WordPress experience who wants hands‐on experience supporting real clients, improving their technical skills, and growing into a full‐stack developer over time.

What You'll Be Doing

Monitor and troubleshoot client WordPress websites

Work within the support team to help diagnose and fix small bugs, plugin conflicts, or performance issues

Assist with plugin updates, theme adjustments, and general maintenance tasks

Collaborate with senior developers to learn best practices for WordPress development and support

Participate in testing, QA, and debugging to ensure client sites stay stable and secure

Document issues and solutions clearly for internal knowledge sharing

Occasionally assist with small enhancements or internal tools

Requirements

Some experience with WordPress – building, maintaining, or customising sites

Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Familiarity with MySQL and basic database concepts

Problem‐solving mindset and ability to work methodically

Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow as a developer

Good communication skills and a client‐focused attitude

Bonus

Experience with WooCommerce support.

Familiarity with GIT or version control.

Interest in learning frameworks like Laravel
