Newcastle Private Hospital is a 189‐bed acute private hospital located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital includes 11 theatres, an intensive care unit, a cardiac suite, and a dedicated maternity suite with 6 birthing suites and a special‐care baby nursery. It also offers an integrated cancer service with chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Graduate Program Details

12‐month program, full‐time or part‐time (minimum 30 hours/week)

Supports early‐career nurses and midwives to transition into independent practice

One to three rotations within your graduate stream over the 12‐month program

Ongoing employment contract with supernumerary time during the transition

Paid study days, peer networking, and mentorship opportunities

Annual leave during your first rotation

What we'll need from you

Evidence of Australian working rights

Completion of a nursing or midwifery course within the last six months or expected completion at least one month before starting

Availability for a minimum of 30 hours/week on a rotating roster including AM, PM, night, weekends, and public holidays

A document outlining your proposed next visa plans, if you currently hold a student or temporary visa
