Healthcare Assistant ED, Urgent Care, Elderly, Stroke and FrailtyBradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Band 2 Health Care Assistants to join teams in ED, Urgent Care, Stroke, Elderly and Frailty.

Main duties of the jobPrevious NHS experience is desirable but not essential. We have a training programme to support your development into a competent health care assistant.
Job responsibilities
Assist individual patients with elements of basic nursing care.
Contribute to the ongoing support of patients and their relatives.
Support patients in transition from one care setting to another.
Assist with obtaining, transmitting, and storing information related to the delivery of care services.

Literacy
Numeracy
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Experience
Previous experience in a health care setting
Experience dealing with members of the public
Knowledge
Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
Understanding of equality and diversity issues and their impact on patients, visitors, and staff
Understanding of the NHS Constitution and the responsibilities it places on you as a public, patient, and colleague
Qualifications
Ability to complete a Care certificate within allocation timeframes
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
