Job Title:  Assistant PPC Marketing Manager (Day rate contract, min 3 months)

Job Purpose:. Delivers Paid Search activity across Thomas Cook Airlines (UK) to increase traffic and revenue from Google and Bing Search Engines. Runs PPC accounts to budget, develops and optimises accounts in line with the wider PPC roadmap to deliver best practise, and distributes regular performance reports across the Group.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs daily account management of PPC accounts on Google AdWords and Bing to ensure activity meets booking and CPA targets
  • Maintains and monitors keyword bids, daily and monthly budget caps and pacing, impression share, quality score and other important metrics
  • Maintains and develops ad copy and other ad templates
  • Provides recommendations for, and implements, improvements to keyword lists, campaign structure and targeting
  • Monitors and manages bid management tool, web analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools
  • Ensures PPC is front of mind for the business, sharing latest best practise, developments and trends of the PPC landscape with relevant stakeholders
  • Produces and distributes detailed weekly/monthly analysis of PPC performance and updates vs PPC roadmap across Thomas Cook Airlines UK
  • Reviews and actively improves current RLSA structure of PPC accounts based on tests, collaboration with CRM team and industry developments

  • Increase Traffic, Bookings, Revenue from PPC Activity

  • Detailed, accurate, insightful reporting on PPC Activity

 

Personal Skills and Qualifications

 

Essential

 

  • Min. 2 years PPC experience (agency or client side)
  • Experience of working with bid management tools (DS3, Kenshoo, Marin or similar)
  • Expert in Google Analytics and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Data analysis; ability to identify actionable insights from large data sets
  • Expert understanding and use of current PPC tools and practical, demonstrable experience of keyword research

     

Desirable

 

  • Fluency in another language (Spanish, French or German)
  • Experience of working in International teams, and matrix organisations
  • Experience of SEO and other digital channels
  • Experience of working in the travel industry
  • Experience of managing in-house PPC

 

Technical / professional qualifications:

 

  • A professional marketing qualification (IDM, CIM) or similar
  • Google AdWords Fundamentals and Google Search Advertising certifications

 

Budget owned:

  • PPC Budget: ca. £1m per year
