We are looking to employ a Furniture Workshop Assistant to assist with the day to day running of our workshop. This is a great opportunity at entry level for someone looking for their first job with a view to progressing with the company should you prove successful in this role.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
This is a manual job and involves some lifting.
You will be working under the instruction of our Stores Supervisor and Workshop manager. The suitable candidate must be an enthusiastic, competent individual with a willingness to learn and able to provide assistance to our workshop team. Training will be provided and an interest in furniture, furniture design and upholstery would be advantageous.
Dudgeon sofas has always prided itself on training up our staff to reach their full potential. The current crop of upholsterers employed all began their careers here as the workshop assistant. If you proved successful in this role, further training will be provided for you to become a fully fledged upholster.
