HGV Class 2 Driver – Liverpool, Merseyside

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Liverpool, Merseyside.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, Monday to Friday work, ongoing work and long-term stability with a leading company in the logistics industry.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver or Truck Driver.

Rates of Pay:

 • £16.50 per hour – Monday to Friday

Shifts:

 • Monday – Friday
 • Start times between 05:00 – 07:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

 • Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
 • Completing between 5–12 store deliveries per day across the UK
 • Unloading cages safely using a tail lift
 • Delivering products into stores in a professional manner
 • Completing all paperwork accurately and on time
 • Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects where required
 • Adhering to all driving laws and health & safety procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver you will need:

 • Minimum 12 months' experience driving Category C vehicles
 • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
 • Valid UK CPC Card
 • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
 • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
 • No DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsements
 • Strong customer service skills
 • Good communication skills and professional attitude

Desirable Experience:

 • Multi-drop store delivery experience
 • Experience using tail lifts and cage deliveries

Training:

 • First-day driving assessment
 • Training provided as required
 • Ongoing industry-related training and support
