Apprentice OR Trainee Dental Nurse| Sturminster Dental Care

If you are an experienced Dental Nurse, or a Trainee with experience and well progressed in your qualification, this is a great opportunity you can continue to grow your skills and confidence.

Sturminster Dental Care is expanding and we're now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our team.

Sturminster Dental Care is an award-winning private practice with over 37 years of loyal patients and strong family style values. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care within a warm, supportive and collaborative environment.

You'll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced clinicians providing a wide range of private treatments including Orthodontics, Endodontics and Cosmetic dentistry helping create confident, healthy smiles every day.

Working Hours

38 hours per week

08:30 – 17:30pm

Tempdent Training provider

One day off the job withhours to be completed on the practice premises

Your Role
As an Apprentice Or Trainee Dental Nurse, you will work alongside experienced clinicians and qualified nurses, learning all aspects of dental nursing while completing your training.

You will:

Assist dentists chairside during a variety of treatments

Learn and follow cross-infection control and decontamination procedures

Prepare and maintain clinical areas and equipment

Support patient care and communication to ensure a positive experience

Develop essential clinical and organisational skills

Complete coursework and practical assessments as part of your apprenticeship

This role offers hands-on experience in a supportive environment where you will build confidence and develop the skills required to become a qualified Dental Nurse.

About You

GCSE Grade 4 or above in both Maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent)

A genuine interest in starting a career in dental nursing

Friendly, reliable and eager to learn

Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused approach

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team

Commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme

Positive attitude and strong work ethic
