We’ve got a great opportunity for a Production Planner to join our Bradford Cutler Heights manufacturing site. Reporting to the Manufacturing Planning Manager, you will generate a medium to long term production plan for all Produce Manufacturing sites.
This is a full time, permanent days role working 5 over 7 including weekends current rota pattern is 1 weekend in 7, working from home via laptop and mobile. This role also requires regular travel, if you are based in Bradford you will travel to our Worsley site at least once a week, and visit our other Produce sites.
Requirements of the Job
As a Production Planner, you will support the category to plan and coordinate the delivery of raw materials including packaging & finished goods in line with customer requirements. You will ensure all legislation and Grocery Suppliers Code of Practice requirements are adhered to, whilst managing and building relationships with all key stakeholders. You will build strong relationships with external parties and to continually improve business efficiencies.

You will have worked as a Production Planner, or have experience from working in a planning function ideally with Manufacturing or Logistics, managing supplier relationships. You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills with a strong understanding of Grocery Suppliers Code of Practice and have a proven track record in compliance, accuracy and attention to detail. You will have strong communication, organisational and planning skills as you will be liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders with the ability to champion pace, change and simplicity. You will be a strong analytical thinker, who can be flexible to adapting to change and be advanced in using Excel and Google sheets.

Cutler Heights was Morrisons first produce manufacturing site and opened in 1976. We now produce over 100 million packs of fruit and vegetables per year. Our products are sold in every Morrisons store in the UK and we employ over 500 colleagues at site.
About our Worsley Manufacturing Site
Worsley is a fast paced 24/7 site, working a continuous 4 shift system, producing a range of prepared vegetable and carbohydrate products such as Stir Fry packs, Roasting Veg Packs and Prepared ingredients for salad bars and cafes. The site is a chilled manufacturing site with an operating temperature of 5 degrees celsius.
It involves a low risk preparation area where all of the cutting and slicing is carried out, as well as a high care packing hall where the products are put into bags and punnets. We also grow our own beansprouts on a beansprout farm a few miles away from the main site.
