Job description

Spinal research charity Wings for Life UK – www.wingsforlife.com - is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join their UK Team. As the title charity partner of Red Bull, this job offers a unique opportunity to get involved in the charity sector within a corporate setting. Based out of Red Bull’s UK headquarters, you would be part of a small team where you will be play a pivotal role in driving and developing our partnerships income stream. A critical role developing and managing all aspects of corporate fundraising for Wings for Life UK including strategy writing, new business, sponsorship, account management and staff fundraising. Your focus will be to secure partnerships and generate income to accelerate our aim to cure spinal cord injury.

  • Strategy

    Take the lead and own the corporate strategy that sees Wings for Life acquire and develop partners to provide financial and in-kind support

    Create a pipeline of partners with the potential to raise funds and awareness for Wings for Life and convert this pipeline into a portfolio of high-value, long-term partnerships (75%)

    Design bespoke, innovative propositions and lead on pitching and negotiation

  • Stakeholder Relationships

    Establish, maintain and strengthen relationships with a wide range of audiences, including senior and high profile stakeholders

    Manage day-to-day relationships with key existing corporate partners ensuring the successful activation of their partnership and identifying opportunities for the relationship to develop in the future (25%)

  • Supporter Relationships

    Work together with the Supporter Development Manager to ensure that individual supporters with strong corporate potential are developed and converted. Likewise, work with Event Manager to ensure that third party events with strong corporate potential are developed.

     

  • Communications

     

    Support HQ on marketing and communications including Social Media, Website, Press and PR and newsletter production.

    Complete relevant administration tasks including updating the Raisers Edge database with communications records relating to corporate prospects and partners.

     

     

  1. Proven ability in bringing in new corporate support or similar new business opportunities, including identifying new opportunities and researching/evaluating their potential

  2. Success in managing significant partnerships either in the private or public sector with good understanding of corporate and events fundraising

  3. Excellent communication skills to convey information, including writing and presenting pitches to varying audiences

  4. Ability to work creatively, strategically and proactively to maximise opportunities for corporate income

  5. Ability to manage several projects at any one time

  6. Driven to set challenging goals and overcome obstacles to achieve targets

  7. Able to work as a strong team player who’s flexible to support the team

  8. Passionate about working for charity, ideally with an interest in spinal cord injury
