Client Procurement Analyst

Guildford / Hybrid (UK & Europe Support)

We're looking for a Procurement Analyst to join our Procurement Operations team, predominantly supporting our UK clients and suppliers, while also providing support across our European business when required.

Dutch language skills are highly desirable for this role. French language skills would be an additional advantage.

This is a hands-on analytical role combining price benchmarking, supplier pricing reviews, product comparison and data analysis.

You'll spend a lot of your time working with Excel and supplier data, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable with spreadsheets, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys investigating what is driving a result rather than simply reporting the numbers.

You don't need to be an advanced Excel expert, but you do need to know your way around a spreadsheet and be comfortable using Excel as part of your everyday work. Previous procurement experience would be beneficial, but isn't essential. We're equally interested in someone with strong analytical skills, a curious mindset and a desire to build a career in procurement.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with data, digging into the detail to understand what is driving a result, and asking questions when something doesn't look quite right.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a procurement operations and commercial analysis role. It is not a finance, accounting, software development, Business Intelligence or data science position.

✅ What You’ll Do

• Conduct price benchmarking and analyse supplier pricing data across food and catering categories
• Investigate pricing variances, trends and anomalies to identify insights and opportunities
• Review product and specification comparisons to ensure accurate like-for-like benchmarking
• Support supplier pricing queries, data validation and quality checks
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to support client reporting, benchmarking and new business implementation
• Provide analytical support across the UK business and wider European operations when required

What we’re looking for

• Dutch language skills are highly desirable
• French language skills would be an advantage
• Good Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
• Comfortable working with large datasets and spreadsheets
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A curious and proactive approach to investigating and solving problems
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, commercial support or supplier management
• Experience within food, catering, hospitality, healthcare or education
• Experience working with supplier pricing or product data
• A European language, particularly Dutch or French
