About The Role

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Customer Insight Manager to join us at our head office in West Yorkshire. 

Putting Customers First is fundamental to the success of our business. This role will be responsible for leading the business through insight using data analytics. Working directly with the Director of Customer Service, this is a strategic role leading a team to ensure the objective voice of the customer is understood by key stakeholders in Trading, Manufacturing and Marketing in all of their decision making.

Responsibilities of this role include:

Customer

• Bring a passion for being the objective voice of the customer throughout the business

• Provide market expertise to the business through regular reporting and ad hoc project work using customer loyalty data, internal sales data,  EPOS and Market panel data

• Lead the business through the analysis of customer (loyalty) data, market data and listening hard to our customers

Colleague

• Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders in Morrisons, primarily at Director level

• Develop the team in key insight competencies: data analysis, research techniques, communication & presentation skills etc

Operational

•Manage external data providers to get maximum value from our investment and drive constant improvements in their output/contribution.

 
 
 
About You

Knowledge

  • Educated to degree level
  • A strong understanding of the UK grocery market A strong understanding of grocery shoppers, needs and behaviours at category level
  • A strong understanding of complex data analytical techniques  and ability to apply them
  • Experienced user of Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel for data analytics
  • Understanding of uses and benefits of different data sources eg customer loyalty,  EPOS etc

 

Skills

  • Highly numerate with proven ability to develop hypotheses and be highly skilled in the synthesis of complex and multiple data sources, with an ability to distil down into actionable insight.
  • Ability to engage with influence senior stakeholders to shape strategic plans to be customer centric
  • Proven ability to successfully manage a team of multi skilled Insight managers and analysts.
  • A creative thinker with strong verbal, written and presentation skills

 

Role Measurement

  • Ability to generate clear and actionable insight at a senior level
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders in using insight to drive change within Morrisons
  • Ability to develop and nurture a small team into a best in class category & analytics team
  • Ability to operate mostly at a strategic rather than tactical level
  • Ability to successfully manage the relationships with external data suppliers
