 Role: Group Airlines Operational Efficiencies Analyst (Non Pilot Role)

Location: Manchester based

Working Hours: 37.5 per week

Job Purpose: The role will support the Operational Efficiencies Manager in delivering the Thomas Cook Group Flight Operations Efficiency Initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operational Efficiencies Manager in the delivery of the Thomas Cook Group Flight Operations Efficiency initiatives (Coordination of the fuel efficiency programs in all the Group airlines). Lead certain efficiency projects across Group Flight Operations as and when required.
  • Analyse operational data to support operational efficiency projects and KPI measurement.
  • Provide communications material that is relevant to different audiences across the Group Airlines & produce reporting material that will go the Flight Operations Leadership Team as well as other management boards across the airlines.
  • Analyse data in accordance with the company procedures for annual carbon submissions for EU ETS Emission Trading Scheme as well as CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting & Reduction Scheme for International Aviation). Assist in the development of new procedures.
  • Provide support on projects related to the wider Thomas Cook Group Sustainability Strategy when Flight Operations involvement is relevant.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Fuel efficiency reports produced on schedule.
  • Analysis of EU ETS & CORSIA emissions data completed accurately.
  • Successful delivery of key efficiency projects.

 

 

Capabilities Profile – technical skills/knowledge, experience & track record.

Must have:

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient user of MS Excel & comfortable with numerical data.
  • Keen interest in the aviation industry.
  • Affinity for new cultures and an international work environment, along with willingness to travel between all AOC bases in UK/DE/DK/ES.

Preferred:

  • Strong numeracy skills and a technical degree background.
  • Coding experience (any language) would be advantageous.
  • Airline Operations knowledge.
  • LEAN knowledge and operational improvement/process mapping experience.

 

Qualifications, Training, Professional Memberships or Accreditations

  • Educated to degree level – technical subject.

  • Fleet Managers
  • Training Managers
  • GMO/Ground Operations/Cabin Services.
