Role: Group Airlines Flight Operations Business Support Analyst (non Pilot role)

Location: Manchester UK

Working Hours: 37.5

Job Purpose:

The role will involve acting as an interface to all four Flight Operations departmental areas of pilot management, training, fleet operations, and compliance, risk and standards, as well as to the wider business, in coordinating the strategic projects and profit improvement programmes which are established by the Group Airlines Management Board as well as the Flight Operations Leadership team. Work will involve close collaboration with senior flight operations personnel. There will be the opportunity to take on the role of PM in projects that will help develop a deeper understanding of the work involved within the flight ops department and personally take responsibility for the successful delivery of these projects.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the governance of the Flight Ops Leadership team meeting.
  • Coordinate projects within strategic efforts and update the transformation team and create reports for the Flight Ops Leadership Team and Group Airline Management Board on behalf of the Group Flight Operations Director.
  • Support the FOLT with budget preparation working in conjunction with the Group Flight Operations Financial Controller.
  • Prepare presentational material for the FOLT members.
  • Support the Group Airlines Operational Efficiencies Manager and the Group Airlines Operational Efficiencies Analyst on work related to the Group Flight Operations Efficiency Initiatives.
  • Participate/Lead in projects across Group Flight Operations as and when required

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • FOLT meeting governance completed in timely and professional manner.
  • GAMB/FOLT reporting submitted according to timetable.
  • Delivery of tasks associated with the support of key flight ops projects

 

Capabilities Profile – technical skills/knowledge, experience & track record.

Must have:

  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Proficient user of MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.
  • Keen interest in the aviation industry.
  • Affinity for new cultures and an international work environment, along with willingness to travel between all AOC bases in UK/DE/DK/ES.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of finance and business strategy.
  • Strong numeracy skills.

 

Qualifications, Training, Professional Memberships or Accreditations

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Group Director Flight Operations.
  • Director Group Airlines Flight Operations Compliance, Risk, and Standards.
