Freelance Tour Guide in London

This job would entail taking Airbnb tourists around London Bridge and the nearby market and telling them about the history of different foods, some funny food facts and guiding them through the market to taste some great food. This role needs someone who is really good with people, makes them feel at ease and is chatty but also knows when to listen and is very receptive and responsive to others. Also, this suits someone who likes studying and learning about weird and wonderful facts around history and food. Training would be offered and a lot of material would need to be learnt but it's also a job where you learn about food the more you visit the place. You must be a confident cook, and ideally with experience working in a kitchen.

Are you good with people, responsible, up for the challenge and have a history/food geek inside of you? Do you cook, read cook books, autobiographies of top Michelin Chefs, know or want to know more about food and it's uses? If you have cheffing experience somewhere great then a Uni degree is not necessary, rather the experience and love of food is more important.

Extra information

I am looking for engaging and dynamic students who are studying either history or cookery and are based in London and can commute to London Bridge easily. I run a popular and successful food tour with Airbnb called "A History of London Through Food" but am having a baby soon and wish to train others to take on my role.

Please be advised that this is a freelance role and jobs are dependent on guest bookings. You will also be reviewed on my Airbnb App and if you receive a good review this encourages more people to book and leads to more bookings. Renumeration can be excellent if at least 4 people book however there can also be days when only 1 person books. It's important to bare this in mind but we can discuss more in the interview stage. Ideally, if you are near London Bridge and wish to work only for a few hours and then go back to Uni/study/your life this is ideal.
