The Role
As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the Birmingham store, helping to lead and develop the team while ensuring operational excellence and an outstanding customer experience.
You'll play a key role in driving team engagement, maintaining high operational standards, supporting commercial performance, and creating an environment where both employees and customers enjoy spending time.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Maintain high standards across health & safety, food hygiene, and operational compliance.
- Ensure the store consistently delivers a safe, organised, and efficient environment.
People & Leadership
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members through regular feedback and on-the-job training.
- Support the Store Manager in creating a positive, high-performing team culture.
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example.
- Build strong customer relationships that encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
Commercial Performance
- Support sales growth and help achieve key business KPIs.
- Contribute to improving profitability through effective operational management.
Leadership
- Inspire the team through positive leadership, accountability, and a people-first approach.
About You
- A minimum of 12 months' experience in a supervisory, key holder, shift leader, or similar leadership role.
- Experience working within a busy, customer-focused environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for developing people and progressing your own management career.
- Able to remain organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
