Job description
Our client, a household name in financial services, is seeking a German-speaking paralegal to join its transactional team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on exposure to high-profile transactions while developing a specialism in finance law within a prestigious institutional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners on live finance transactions, including due diligence, document management, and closing processes
- Assisting with the drafting of transactional documents, correspondence, and internal memos
- Liaising with German-speaking clients and counterparties
- Reviewing and translating German-language documents where required
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting deal administration
- Coordinating with cross-border teams on multi-jurisdictional matters
Candidate Profile
- Fluent German speaker (written and spoken); strong English proficiency essential
- Law degree or equivalent qualification
- No prior experience required - some exposure to a legal, financial, or corporate environment is beneficial but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Eagerness to develop specialist knowledge in finance law
- Excellent written communication skills in both German and English
