Power BI Business Analyst

Job description

We're looking for a strong Business Analyst with experience sitting between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

This is a stakeholder-facing role rather than a highly technical position. The successful candidate will be confident engaging with senior business leaders, understanding reporting and analytics requirements, and translating these into clear deliverables for technical and offshore teams.

The role sits within a Data & Analytics environment, supporting reporting and business intelligence solutions for Insurance and Financial Services clients.

Key Requirements

Stakeholder Management

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working directly with senior business stakeholders.
• Able to challenge, influence and confidently manage conversations around requirements and priorities.
• Strong workshop facilitation and requirements gathering experience.

Business Analysis

• Proven experience translating business requirements into clear functional requirements, user stories and delivery plans.
• Able to bridge the gap between business users and technical teams.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced client environments.

Power BI & Reporting

• Good understanding of Power BI.
• Experience gathering requirements for dashboards, reporting and management information solutions.
• Able to review reporting outputs and validate they meet business expectations.
• Understanding of data models, datasets and reporting logic.

Insurance / Financial Services

• Experience working with Insurance domain
• Min. 7 years of work exp
