An excellent opportunity for a Trainee Private Client Tax Paralegal to join a highly regarded Legal 150 firm, based in their Nottingham office.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop their legal career within the specialist area of Private Client Tax. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience supporting clients with a range of Private Client Tax matters, while developing your legal knowledge and practical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with a range of private client tax matters, including inheritance tax, trusts, estates, and succession planning.
  • Supporting fee earners with the preparation of tax documentation, calculations, correspondence, and client reports.
  • Carrying out research into tax legislation and providing administrative support on client matters.
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of tax returns, forms, and compliance documents.
  • Liaising with clients, HMRC, and third parties while maintaining accurate records and providing a high level of client service.


About You:

Are you a motivated and organised individual who is passionate about developing a career within Private Client Tax?


You will have:

  • Experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career within Private Client Tax work
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a supportive team environment
