An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Buyer/Artwork Co-ordinator to join our Planning Team.

What you'll be doing

As a Junior Buyer/Artwork Co-Ordinator, you will support the Lead Buyer in the day-to-day purchasing of packaging, ingredients and site service materials, ensuring products are supplied to the required specification, on time, in full and at the best commercial value.

You'll also play a key role in coordinating packaging artwork to ensure it meets customer, regulatory and production requirements. You will:

• Support supplier management, monitoring quality, service and performance.

• Assist with purchasing activities, cost control and budget management.

• Help implement regular supplier and cost reviews to identify savings and continuous improvements.

• Support sustainability initiatives, including reducing packaging waste and carbon emissions.

• Monitor stock write-offs and packaging waste, working with Finance to identify improvements.

• Manage artwork briefs and critical paths from concept through to approval.

• Liaise with Marketing, NPD, Technical, Production, customers and suppliers throughout the artwork process.

• Coordinate artwork proofs, ensuring designs meet specifications and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare mock-up packaging samples when required.

• Attend NPD and artwork meetings and support site-based projects.

• Build strong relationships across multiple departments and external suppliers.

• Represent Cranswick professionally at all times.

What we need from you

Essential

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.

• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

• Strong team player who can also work independently.

Desirable

• Experience within purchasing, procurement or supply chain.

• Previous artwork coordination experience within food manufacturing or FMCG.

• Knowledge of food manufacturing, food safety or packaging processes.

• Experience using Adobe software.

• Basic Food Safety, HACCP or Health & Safety qualifications.
