Job Title: HGV + HIAB Driver
Location: Park Royal
Reporting to: Transport Manager/Branch Manager
Our client, a leading and well established and respected Builders Merchants, based in Park Royal (NW10), are seeking and experienced HGV driver with HIAB experience to join their elite team.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Transportation and delivery of goods to designated customer destinations in line with the Company Policy and Procedures
• Responsible of company stock and vehicle at all times
• Required to pick stock, load and unload the vehicle appropriately
• Responsible for stock movement
• Adhering to all rules and laws applicable to drivers of an HGV Vehicle
• Record keeping including defects report and tachographs
• Safe use of vehicle including crane
• Adhering to all rules and regulations regarding the use of crane
• Ensuring all work is carried out in according with Health and Safety rules and ensuring goods are delivered efficiently and accurately
• Ensuring vehicle is kept clean, tidy and maintained, reporting any issues accordingly
• Ensuring public safety is kept to the highest level
• Reporting accidents according to the Drivers Handbook
• Report and keep a record of goods returned, shortages or errors on the order
• Responsible for collecting cash/cheques on delivery
• Ensure parking tickets and fines are kept to a minimum as per instructions in the Driver’s Handbook
• Excellent timekeeping
• Following the Company guidelines on recording delivery procedure
• Excellent customer focus and liaison at all times
• Ability to prioritise tasks
• Essential at problem solving when faced with a difficult delivery
• An excellent team member and the ability support other key people when the need arises
• Carry out other duties which fall within reasonable expectations of the role
• To adhere to Health and Safety standards according to the company policy for both customers, colleagues and yourself
• Thorough knowledge of manual handling guidelines in day to day activities
• To attend work clean, smart and wearing the company uniform and relevant protective clothing for job requirement

Working 47.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday 7 -5 and Saturday 7 to noon (one in, one off)
