Role: B1 & B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer

 

Location: Manchester

 

Working Hours: 37

 

Job Purpose: Carry out, supervises and certifies aircraft maintenance

  

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety and performance standards in their delegated areas of responsibility while striving to uphold company OTP record
  • To ensure the accomplishment of  maintenance and inspection tasks within responsible area by the use of  resources in the most efficient and cost effective manner
  • To maintain a working knowledge of company maintenance procedures ensuring strict adherence while carrying out work tasks
  • Responsibility to ensure all company and legal requirements regarding aircraft/component inspection and production documentation are duly complied with
  • To uphold the terms of any authorisation gained as required by the Quality Manager ensuring the highest quality standards of work carried out by himself and staff under his control
  • To maintain licence/qualification and training validity necessary to support inspection authorisation utilised during completion of productive work tasks
  • To ensure all tooling, equipment and premises within allocated responsibility are serviceable and any discrepancies are duly reported
  • To undertake additional tasks and projects as required for the efficient and productive functioning of the company

 

 

Key Performance Indicators

 

  • Maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety and performance standards in their delegated areas of responsibility while striving to uphold company OTP record
  • Show good control over Paperwork, Compliance and Tooling Control

 

 

Capabilities Profile – technical skills/knowledge, experience & track record.

 

Must have:

  • Recognised part 66 B2 Aircraft Engineers License
  • Excellent effective communication skills
  • Self-motivated and demonstrate organisational skills within time limiting situations
  • Understand and adopt effective team leadership when required
  • Hold company approvals on relevant aircraft types

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of TCAE organisation and procedures
  • Commercial focus and understanding of Company business objectives
  • Willingness to embrace change and flexible working practices
  • Knowledge of company computer systems
  • Ability to work away from base as required and on request

     

     

Qualifications, Training, Professional Memberships or Accreditations

 

  • EASA Part 66 B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
  • At least 1 TCX fleet aircraft types, but preferably Airbus A320 family and A330

Direct reports:

  • No direct reports, but management of the shift could be required on ad-hoc basis
