Role- Private Sector Housing Officer

Location- East Midlands

Duration- 3 months + optional 3 month extension

Rate- £ dependent on experience

A client of mine working for a local authority is looking to hire an Interim Private Sector Housing Officer, specializing in HMO licensing and compliance inspections, for the next 3+ months due to a number of outstanding service requests.

The role is part-time, 15-21 hours per week. Hybrid working is standard within this local authority, so it is expected that the candidate placed will be on site between 1-2 days each week depending on the working pattern discussed with the manager

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Strong HMO and Private Sector Housing experience
• Practical HHSRS knowledge
• Ability to work independently
• Housing or Environmental Health qualification desirable
• (EHRB registration not required)

Interviews are to be held as soon as possible and ideally the client will agree a start date within the next 2 weeks.
