Are you organised, commercially minded and looking to build a career within Procurement?


I’m currently recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator to join an established and growing food manufacturing business in Bedfordshire.


This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a fast-paced administrative role who wants to develop their career within a collaborative procurement team.


The Role

Working closely with the wider Procurement team, you’ll provide day to day support across supplier management, purchasing activity, data and reporting while also working with teams across the wider business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating supplier information, onboarding documentation and maintaining accurate supplier records
  • Supporting purchasing activity including order tracking, expediting and resolving supply or invoice queries
  • Maintaining accurate pricing, contract and procurement data within internal systems
  • Working closely with Supply Chain, Production, NPD and Finance teams to support business requirements
  • Supporting supplier sourcing activity, including gathering information, obtaining quotations and assisting with tender activity
  • Coordinating supplier samples, specifications and pricing to support new product and customer projects
  • Monitoring contract usage and highlighting any significant differences against forecasts
  • Maintaining procurement reports, documentation and KPI information
  • Building strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting the Procurement team with ongoing projects and continuous improvement activity


What We’re Looking For

You could already be working within Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Commercial Administration, or you may be an experienced Administrator looking to move into Procurement.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience within an administrative, purchasing or procurement support position
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once
  • Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with suppliers and stakeholders across different departments
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Previous experience using an ERP or procurement system would be advantageous
  • Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain would be beneficial
