Compliance Analyst - 12m FTC

London | Hybrid Working (2 days in office) | International Law Firm

A leading international law firm is seeking an AML Risk & Compliance Analyst to join its established Risk & Compliance team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with AML and client due diligence experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment who is looking to further develop their career in a highly regarded and collaborative team.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting client due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) on both corporate and individual clients
• Performing PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening
• Researching complex ownership and corporate structures
• Assessing AML and financial crime risks associated with new and existing clients
• Preparing AML reports and recommendations for approval
• Maintaining accurate compliance records and databases
• Assisting with ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews
• Supporting regulatory audits and compliance projects
• Working closely with partners and stakeholders to facilitate efficient client onboarding

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous AML, CDD or financial crime experience, ideally within a law firm
• Strong understanding of UK AML regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience conducting sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Confident communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
