Student Liaison Assistant (Term Time)

Salary: £25,098, pro rata

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, 33 weeks per year

Rose Bruford College is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Student Liaison Officer to support the Students' Union (SU) and help ensure that student voices are heard across the College.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about student engagement, community building, and creating a positive student experience. Working closely with the Head of Student Life, SU Executive Officers, and the wider Student Life team, you will play a key role in supporting student-led initiatives, events, campaigns, and communications.

About the Role

As the Student Liaison Officer, you will be a key point of contact between students, the Students' Union, and the College. You will help coordinate SU activities, support student representation, promote student engagement, and ensure that feedback from students helps shape the student experience. You will support a wide range of activities, including:
• Coordinating SU events, campaigns, and initiatives
• Supporting student representatives and student engagement activities
• Managing day-to-day SU communications, including social media and newsletters
• Collecting and analysing student feedback and insight
• Providing administrative support for SU projects and events
• Building positive relationships with students, staff, and external partners
• Supporting an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students

About You

You will be an organised and approachable individual with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting students. You will be able to demonstrate:
• A good understanding of Students' Unions and student representation
• Experience of supporting events, activities, projects, or communications
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of people
• A proactive and solution-focused approach
• Good IT and digital communication skills
• A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and student wellbeing

Experience of working within a higher education or student-focused environment would be advantageous.
