Interim Commercial Analyst - Up to £430 per Day (Umbrella) - 3 Month Contract - London based (Hybrid) - D2C Brand
We are recruiting a Temporary Commercial Analyst for a well-known, high-growth D2C consumer brand.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced contract role for a commercially minded analyst who can quickly get to grips with a large consumer business and provide insight to support commercial decision-making. You will work closely with the Revenue Management team and stakeholders across operations, finance, marketing and technology.
The business operates a large national estate, with each location treated as an individual business. The Revenue Management team plays a key role in optimising commercial performance across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Analyse location-level performance and identify commercial opportunities and risks.
- Support pricing, promotions, product mix and wider revenue-management decisions with clear analysis and recommendations.
- Conduct market, competitor and customer research to inform commercial strategy.
- Build and maintain robust Excel models, trackers and analysis packs.
- Produce clear PowerPoint materials for senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Work with colleagues across operations, finance, marketing and technology to gather insight and align priorities.
- Respond effectively to changing business needs and deliver high-quality work at pace.
We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with commercial judgement and excellent stakeholder skills.
You are likely to have:
- Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint capability.
- Experience in strategy, commercial or management consulting, or a similarly analytical commercial role.
- Ideally 1 - 2 years’ relevant consulting experience, although strong candidates from other analytical backgrounds will be considered.
- Experience in a B2C, subscription or wider consumer-facing business environment.
- The ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyse information quickly and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging a broad range of stakeholders.
- A proactive, adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
What’s on offer
- A high-impact three-month assignment with a leading D2C brand.
- Exposure to a broad range of commercial and revenue-management activity.
- The opportunity to work with a collaborative, high-performing team.
- A streamlined, single-stage Teams interview process.
There may be potential for a permanent opportunity in future, although this is not guaranteed and would be subject to a separate process and permanent-role salary level.
