Job description

An established fashion retailer are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join their growing Marketplace team, based at their Manchester head office.


The Company

The business is home to a number of fast-growing fashion brands and is continuing to expand its marketplace presence across the UK and Europe. They are now looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to take responsibility for a selection of marketplace and concession accounts, supporting the day-to-day trading, stock management, product launches and performance of these channels.


The Role

  • Review sales, stock, availability, returns and sell-through data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Support seasonal planning, forecasting, range reviews, future buying decisions and trading meetings through accurate analysis.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day merchandising and trading of allocated marketplace and concession accounts
  • Keep merchandising trackers, range plans, stock information, critical paths and partner documentation up to date.
  • Work alongside merchandising, supply chain and wider internal teams to manage delivery information, stock movements and critical path activity.
  • Develop strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external marketplace partners, ensuring clear communication around trading, stock, launches and operational priorities.
  • Monitor inventory and availability across marketplace channels, identifying potential issues and recommending actions to protect sales.


About You

  • Ideally, you will have 2+ years' experience within retail merchandising
  • You will have strong analytical skills and be confident interpreting sales and trading data.
  • Advanced Excel skills are important, including experience using Pivot Tables and X/VLOOKUP.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across different teams and with external partners.
  • You will thrive in a fast-moving environment and enjoy taking ownership of your workload.
