IT Security Architect in Reading

Are you an ambitious Security Architect with excellent expertise developing an IT Security Architectural Strategy and constantly keeping up with new and changing security standards?

You will work across work across software and hardware development teams to identify component and system level technical risks, identify and evaluate critical failure points, determine technical security controls to mitigate risks, prioritise and schedule controls with product development timelines, and work with cross functional teams to implement features according to product roadmaps.
In this opportunity you will develop the Strategic Security Roadmap in working with the business and systems team to identify the right architecture for implementing new solutions, products and modules.

Being the SME in the discovery and investigation of critical security vulnerabilities and identifying cross directorate and cross project dependencies, risks and activities and negotiating resolution to conflict.

This amazing opportunity will allow you to input into long term vision of technologies and solution and collaborate with IT leadership in planning and implementing of technology roadmaps

Based in Dublin or Reading, this role will report into the IT Security and Privacy Portfolio Manager in providing thought leadership in IT strategy, development models, cost-optimisation, innovation and efficiency improvement.

  • Persuasion skills. Presenting complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business and being able to coach and lead others to use the necessary critical emerging technologies
  • Attention to detail. Changing environments means you must have the ability and experience of mission critical High Availability design and deployment in large transaction volume environments
  • Diplomacy. We need to be able to trust you and so does your team. You’ll have mastered the art of pushing back with professionalism both up – and – down the organisation.
  • Confident communication. It goes without saying. You’ll be connecting with all levels of the business, building bridges across multiple teams in a multi-country environment
  • Strong organisational and planning skills. You’ll need to be able to effectively prioritise projects and deliverables in order to meet deadlines and manage the expectations set by management.
