Assistant Buyer

REBECCA UDALL is looking for a Assistant Buyer

Job description

The Brand

Launched in 2019, Rebecca Udall is a luxury brand designing and curating fine linens and homeware across Bed, Bath, Table and Home Décor. Our collections champion European heritage alongside artisan and heritage craftsmanship – from hand painted crockery to Murano glassware and hand-stitched bed linens.

Our homeware is designed to elevate the everyday through a layered, European aesthetic and utilising the finest natural fibres. It’s an exciting time to join the brand - we are growing fast and building our team for the next stage of growth.

The Role

You'll work closely with the Buyer and wider product team to manage the day-to-day mechanics of our product range - from supplier communication and critical path management to range planning and trade analysis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who's detail-obsessed, commercially minded and excited to help shape a fast-scaling luxury homeware brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the product team in developing seasonal ranges across our core categories, balancing newness with commercial performance
  • Own the commercial relationship and range with certain suppliers
  • Manage the critical path for sample requests, certain categories of product development and new range order management with mostly European suppliers
  • Place, track and expedite purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery in line with stock plans
  • Analyse weekly and monthly sales, sell-through and stock data to provide recommendations
  • Maintain accurate product, pricing and cost data across internal systems
  • Assist with supplier negotiations on pricing, MOQs and lead times
  • Prepare information and coordinate with the design and marketing teams to ensure new product launches are supported with accurate specs, imagery and copy
  • Support pricing and margin analysis for D2C and B2B
  • Support with margin and markdown analysis to protect brand positioning and profitability

About You

  • 1-3 years experience in a buying or merchandising role, ideally within homeware, interiors or premium/DTC retail.
  • Strong Excel skills; comfortable working with sales and stock data
  • Positive, excellent problem-solving and able to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is a plus
  • Excellent organisational skills and close attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising directly with international suppliers
  • A genuine interest in design and interiors an advantage
  • Commercially minded, with an instinct for what sells and why
