Work Placement Coordinator

Between £25,929 and £29,947 Per Year

Job description

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Work Placement Coordinator to support the successful delivery of work placements for students studying on 16-19 study programmes, including T Levels and extended industry placements.

In this key role, you will coordinate, monitor and support student work placements, ensuring that learners gain meaningful industry experience that enhances their skills, confidence and career prospects. Working closely with curriculum teams, employers and students, you will identify and develop high-quality placement opportunities, build strong employer relationships and ensure all placement activity is delivered effectively and in line with quality assurance requirements.

You will play an important role in helping students prepare for the workplace, whilst supporting employers to provide valuable placement experiences that meet both business and educational needs.

What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a suitably qualified individual with excellent administrative and organisational skills who can effectively manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload. You will have experience of communicating professionally with employers from a range of sectors and sizes and be confident in developing productive and supportive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, capable of working independently and able to organise and implement a schedule of employer visits alongside competing administrative responsibilities. You will be an effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, committed to achieving objectives and delivering a high-quality service.

Experience of supporting students or individuals would be advantageous, together with an understanding of the further education sector, including Study Programmes, T Levels and Apprenticeships.

If you are passionate about helping young people gain valuable workplace experience and enjoy building relationships with employers and stakeholders, we would love to hear from you.
