What are you going to do:
At Tutor House, we have team meetings each week and then we go and make things happen. Your ideas are
valued and taken onboard. You’ll love working in a team but also be independent and able to set your own
goals.
You will be:
- Installing our main applications in a new production environment - SQL database & Python Django back-end
- Optimising applications for speed and scalability
- Developing new features to improve growth (activation and retention)
- Developing new products from ideation to MVP
- Designing and implementing back-end architectures up to RESTful APIs
- Monitoring uptime and performance for each part of the stack
- Working with the team to optimise WP and site-load times
- Building reusable and testable code for future use
- Executing work that adheres to best practices and consistency standards
- Collaborating with Product and other team members to prioritise work
- Participating in code reviews, and sharing knowledge
- Iterating fast with an agile project management process with Kanban boards
- Automating packaging, installation and deployment on a cloud environment
- Involved in weekly team meetings and catch ups

What we ask:
- At least finished university degree Graduate degree in a Computer Science related field or equivalent experience
- (ideally) 5+ years of experience mastering object oriented languages and web development
- Fluent in Python Django
- Experience with MySQL databases, cache systems and messaging
- Eagerness for lean, pragmatic and well-tested code
- Strong experience in Continuous Integration/Deployment tools
