About The Role

We're looking for a Training Manager to be based in Maidstone covering Kent and Surrey, on a full time, permanent basis.


In this role you'll be responsible for the training delivery plan for the group, ensuring the relevant training is carried out in your training store as well as delivering some leadership courses yourself. You'll be leading, planning and facilitating both technical and behavioural training for managers so it's a really exciting role for you to take the next step in your career.

You may currently be a Senior Manager or a Store People Manager working within Retail, ready for the next move within your development or have training delivery and management experience. Ideally you will have experience working in the retail sector, but whatever your background, you’ll need to be able to show us why you’re suitable for this role. Things you might have done to give you the edge include project work, leading the introduction of new initiatives, being safe hands or anything over and above your day to day role.



About You
What will you do as a Training Manager?

  • Deliver training programmes to develop the talent pipeline within the store

  • Identify learning and development gaps

  • Support, coach and develop teams

  • Schedule training in a cost effective way

  • Deliver training for business initiatives e.g. Fruit & Vegs Ways of Working or Morrisons Ordering



 Skills & Experience required


  • A knowledge of Retail training programme

  • An understanding of training delivery methods

  • You’ll be able to show some good examples of continuous improvement

  • We’ll be looking for your proven ability to influence

  • Experience of seeking customer perceptions to drive improvements is really key, having the customer in mind is a core focus

  • Ability to deliver under pressure
