TANK Publications seeks talented writers and editors in London

The TANK editorial placement offers the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in an independent publishing environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about print magazines and digital media, with a passion for contemporary culture, strong writing skills and a desire to learn.

What are you going to do:

During the four-week editorial placement at TANK Magazine, you will:

  • Shadow TANK's editorial team in their daily output, whether publishing new features on tankmagazine.com or preparing for print production
  • Gain experience of editorial tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing and research
  • Contribute a piece of writing to tankmagazine.com and receive in-depth feedback from our editors
  • Attend editorial meetings and assist with any time-sensitive administrative tasks

What we ask:

  • At least finished college A levels
  • Our ideal candidate has a natural flair for writing. You may already be published in other print and digital publications, or on a platform of your own
  • You may be a student of English literature, art history or another humanities subject, as well as journalism
  • You have a keen interest in the latest literature, art, music and politics
