Publishing Project Manager

Our client was founded in 2013 and is an international educational consultancy and the UK’s largest publisher of books to help with University Applications, with over 70 separate books published and over 50,000 copies sold. They are looking for a Publishing Project Manager to take control of the publishing arm of the company. A versatile position focussed on increasing profitability of the books division by improving sales of current books and launching new titles.

35 hours per week
Between £33,000 and £55,000 Per Year

What are you going to do:

Earnings: £ 33,000 - £55,000 (OTE)

Bonuses: Uncapped performance-linked bonus, team events, perks and fully paid holidays

Job Location: Remotely, working from your home office 4 days per week. Every Monday in our Milton Keynes Office.

Job Hours: 9AM to 6PM; Tuesday to Thursday. 11AM to 7PM on Monday.

They are looking for a Publishing Project Manager to take control of the publishing arm of the company. A versatile position focussed on increasing profitability of the books division by improving sales of current books and launching new titles.

This role is a great opportunity for a candidate with experience in publishing or a recent graduate to take direct responsibility for all the titles and gain commercial experience in a wide variety of fields (operations, strategy, sales, marketing, and project management).

Your Role

You will take charge of the company's online profile, working to drive positive reviews and increase the company's positive profile. We are looking for a data driven and results oriented person, who is interested in growing a business successfully. The successful candidate will be able to develop and execute plans to increase sales. The main responsibilities of the job are as follows:

  • Improving Sales of Existing titles by optimising and updating product pages on book-selling platforms and promoting books to schools and other parties
  • Project Managing the creation of new book titles from concept to completion
  • Managing authors, designers, proof-readers to launch book titles on time and within budget
  • Managing KDP Adverts and marketing of new and current books
  • Coordinating with Freelance Designers for book covers
  • Management of book reviews

Essential Skills & Experience

  • You must have graduated with a 2.1 or higher
  • Have a hunger to grow a business and be Data Driven and Results Oriented
  • Be motivated by targets and always striving to perform higher
  • Previous project editorial experience- desired but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • Able to work independently, prioritise conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines
  • Quick to learn and build an understanding of our product range and customer profiles
