Night Team Member – Premier Inn

We are looking for a Nights team member to join the team at London Blackfriars Premier Inn.
Working alongside our nights team, this role is one with a big responsibility - Keeping our guests safe throughout the night.
Working throughout the hours of 11pm - 7am, this role will see you joining our team on a full time contract which is 37.5hours.
You'll be joining us on an hourly rate of £9.66, which will increase once you have completed your core training with us meaning that you will be proficient in your role.

At Premier Inn, World class customer service matters 24/7. Accountable for keeping both our guests and our hotel building safe and secure, you’ll be the guardian of a great night’s sleep.

Our Night team member role is one that comes with big and serious responsibilities. On duty overnight, in our more complex sites you will be working with your team to ensure our guests are able to sleep soundly as they know you’ve got everything else covered.

Our larger operations require a number of night team members to ensure we are confident our guests are safe and secure. Between you, you’ll ensure you prioritise the guest safety throughout the night. We’ll expect our candidates to demonstrate an understanding of health and safety, and of basic information technology. Comfortable working as part of a team, you’ll be organised yet flexible, calm in a crisis, and good at solving problems.  Working with other night team members you’ll be completing tasks such as:

  • Corridor walks to identify any hazards or risks in the building overnight
  • Means of escape checks – to ensure our fire exits are clear at all times
  • Logging & reporting any incidents, accidents or near misses that occur whilst your on shift
  • Auditing emergency equipment and our first aid supplies to make sure you and your colleagues never caught short whilst on duty.

On top of these tasks, we’ll expect you to have a passion for delivering a great guest experience. This means that we will look for someone who can demonstrate that they can:

  • Resolve any complaints to the highest standard ensuring no guest leaves unhappy
  • Prepare the hotel for the next day, including setting up our breakfast areas and ensuring our housekeeping are set up for a day of success.

We are passionate about progression and whatever level you start at, we’ll help you reach your full potential. You’ll enjoy the chance to shine every day. And you’ll benefit from the best training and development programmes in the industry. So, depending on whether you want to be the best night team member there is, or work your way up to a hotel manager, Regional Operations Manager, or higher, Whitbread can help you achieve your full potential.

Are you ready to take on a new challenge and join us here at Premier Inn?

Please note that as the working hours are between 11pm through to 7am, if you are thinking about applying, you must be aged 18 or over due to working time regulations.

Whitbread is an inclusive employer, strongly believing that everyone is unique and there should be no limits to ambition. We welcome your application whatever your background or situation. We are open to flexible working and, where possible, will try to support this.
