Windtech Consultants are offering a Technical Sales Internship in London Borough of Islington

Are you a confident, savvy, natural communicator with aspirations to hold an executive-level role in technical sales? We have availability for a Summer Internship, joining our small but fantastic London team to assist with international sales in the environmental consultancy industry. This is an “in at the deep end” role that will fast track your career, interacting directly with senior members of some of the largest real estate and architecture firms in the world. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an international, boutique engineering consultancy and not only put your sales skills to the test, but also get exposure to this fascinating and global industry.

32 - 40 hours per week
Between £7.00 and £9.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

If you are looking to gain experience and take on responsibility at an early stage in your career, we would like you to:

  • Take on a supportive role as part of small London-based team
  • Communicate with new and current international company contacts
  • Help to research, analyse and distribute sales targets
  • Learn all about the different stages involved in multi-million-pound (or multi-billion-pound!) developments
  • Learn all about the cutting edge of computational modelling and wind tunnel testing
  • Get to grips with Microsoft Dynamics – CRM software used by thousands of the largest companies worldwide.
  • Arrange meetings and events with various stakeholder groups
  • Help to prepare for new business pitches
  • Blog on associated industry issues

What we ask:

  • At least finished college A levels
  • A proven communicator: extremely confident yet socially aware, with excellent English language drafting, writing, punctuation and grammar skills
  • Excellent research and analysis skills
  • Strong organisational abilities: self-starter, ability to balance a number competing priorities, with an appreciation of when to seek advice and guidance
  • Team player but equally comfortable working independently, able to understand and communicate complex issues quickly and succinctly
  • Strong inter-personal skills, solid business presentation skills and event management skills
  • Willingness to learn about the construction industry and our technical services
  • A desire to speak to and meet new people
  • Hands-on experience of selling
  • Previous experience with CRM would be useful, but not essential
  • Willingness to learn about the construction industry and our technical services
