Trainee Nursing Associate Apprenticeship Opportunity
Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit Trainee nursing associate apprentices from; adults and communities, adults & specialist Rehabilitation and Learning disability divisions.
We are pleased to offer the opportunity for healthcare support workers to develop their healthcare role. The nursing Associate apprenticeship will provide a bridge between the unregulated care assistant and the qualified nursing workforce and can provide the opportunity into nursing roles and further training. The Trainee Nursing Associate will work towards progression to the Nursing Associate role; through successful completion of the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship level 5 Foundation degree and Clinical competence
You will remain an employee in your substantive post and will continue to be paid at your current salary whilst training. you will work in alternative healthcare settings across Birmingham Community NHS Foundation & External Trusts.
Birmingham City University (BCU will deliver the trainee nursing associate apprenticeship academic programme over two years. The course is due to commence February 2020
This opportunity is offered to existing BCHC Healthcare support staff who meet the following minimum entry requirements:
Employed fulltime; ideally 37.5hrs (minimum 30hrs)
English & Mathematics Grades A-C or equivalent e.g. Functional skills level 2
Level 3 qualification: Ideally Health & Social Care
Demonstrate the ability to study at level 5 Diploma of Higher Education
