Job description

Group Finance Technology is a global function, which forms a key component of the overall Finance IT department. It has responsibility for the design, build, enhancement and support of the core Finance platforms and Finance MI systems that underpin Barclays as an organisation.


As a Delivery Lead, you’ll be part of a Programme to deliver a global data platform to provide Finance-attested granular trial balances to multiple functions within Finance, Risk and Treasury. Phase 1 of this program delivers granular, ledger-reconciled balances for External, Regulatory and Internal reporting, and later phases will extend the capability across other use cases across Risk, Finance Treasury.

Managing Technology projects under the Programme
Working with project stakeholders, scoping initiatives, establishing governance, and defining target solutions
Managing project schedule, business outcomes, and planning deviations
Assessing change requests and their impact to the project and approaches to accommodate
Managing resources (Direct and Matrix management) including Barclay’s staff and 3rd party suppliers
Providing direction for the daily stand-up or scrum meetings
Establishing an effective governance for Project/Work-streams, via the Project Management Office
Ensuring that solutions delivered meet the Bank’s control framework, standards and compliance requirements

Experience as a Programme or Project Manager delivering software technology projects within a regulated environment 
Leadership experience – managing own area or a team would is key
Strong stakeholder management as you’ll be acting as a key influencer liaising with senior stakeholders


Experience of delivering data related projects or programmes will be highly desirable 

This role will be based in our Aurora house Glasgow office; a stones throw away from Glasgow Central Train Station and the heart of Glasgow.
