Owing to unprecedented events regarding COVID-19 we opening a new 30 bed ward at Whitby Hospital “Abbey Ward” we are currently recruiting dedicated and motivated registered and unregistered bank nurses for a newly refurbished, dynamic inpatient rehabilitation ward at Whitby.

We are looking for nurses who are kind and caring but also understand the importance of rehabilitation and working with patients to improve their independence.

You will be expected to deliver and maintain high standards of clinical and professional Nursing care and in return you will receive support, development, and a first class learning experience of all aspects of rehabilitation nursing.

You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about high quality patient care, putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team and will need to be able to think on the spot, show empathy and be hardworking and dedicated.

The Bank enables staff to work varying hours on an as and when basis but can be on a full and part time capacity across a range of shift patterns including day, evening and night shifts. This also provides staff with the opportunity to work when they are available or around family commitments.

Applicants will have a relevant up to date Nursing registration and preceptorship and be expected to display a high standard of care, communication, and the ability to develop relationships with patients.

Applicants will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to work effectively with patients, staff and peers and to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

All mandatory training will be provided as well as role specific training, Additional training may be available dependant on the service area needs.

We will rely on your co-operation as a candidate to enable us to process Pre employment checks quickly if you are successful. We intend to carry out telephone interviews and you can expect this to take place within 2 days of your application.
