Job overview
This programme is available in our Glasgow office and is a four year Apprenticeship within our Technology division, taken in line with study for a Software Development degree at the University of Strathclyde. You will benefit from theory-based learning as well as the opportunity to develop practical skills in IT, which you will apply as you gain a valuable insight into the financial industry. Throughout your apprenticeship experience you will receive support from your manager and be entitled to full Morgan Stanley benefits.
What will I learn?
Your training curriculum will commence in your first week at Morgan Stanley. This will include an introduction to Morgan Stanley followed by technical and professional skills sessions. Throughout your Apprenticeship, alongside your formal studies, you will be exposed to business speakers, practical sessions and have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from your peers through various forums and events.
Our development teams design, develop and maintain applications used by our business units. Daily activities include meeting with clients to gather and analyze requirements. They make system design decisions, evaluating, integrating and developing necessary software, and then test and deploy applications to production. Developing high-performing systems, and evolving complex workflows and life-cycle management capabilities are just some of the projects available for developers.
What qualification or qualities are required?
Entry requirements are the pursuance or completion of a minimum of 4 Higher Grades at BBBB including either Computing, Maths or Physics, plus National 5 English.
The programme start date will be September 2021. The deadline for applications is the 7th March 2021.
