What are you going to do:

Who are we?

Triquetra Education is a tuition company with the best, most motivated, most awe-inspiring tutors out there - often from the top five universities.

Here's the best part though - we are the first socially conscious tuition company! That means that we operate as a tuition company does, but we use any profits we make to fund tuition sessions for disadvantaged families who could not otherwise afford to access the support. We also believe in truly supporting tutors and teachers - we'll fully fund resources and courses for our tutors and teachers! We operate in the UK, and we also draw students online from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and China.

Are you academically strong? Are you socially conscious? Do you believe that education will change the world? If so, you sound like our kind of person!

What is a tutor?

A tutor provides individualised academic support in one or more subject areas with the intention of boosting student confidence, subject fluency and attainment. You will be working online, and so you can be based anywhere, and work anywhere (as long as you have WiFi!).

Responsibilities:

  • To deliver engaging subject-specific sessions that are based on exam board criteria as applicable.
  • To ensure that sessions are inclusive and accessible by addressing any learning needs that a student may have (for example, by using subtitles on videos if needed/ a coloured screen/ large type etc.).
  • To be on time to the session and to provide the full length of time for the session booked.
  • To complete the online learning record of the student within 24 hours of the end of the session.
  • To manage and update your online tuition calendar as appropriate.

Who we want:

You need to be a subject specialist in the area you want to teach. That means you should have excellent A-Levels in that subject and have studied it, or be studying it, at degree level. If you want to teach A-level, ideally you will be studying at postgraduate level.

You may have experience of tuition previously, or of working with children - this is desirable, but not a deal-breaker.

Please note, we will ask you to undergo an advanced DBS check if you haven't got an up to date one.

Don't panic - you'll receive free training in how to put sessions together, including in how to support student needs, and we'll provide you with resources if you'd like. We'll also show you where you can find resources if you aren't sure where to start.

Rates of pay are excellent and we start above average at a pay rate of £12/hour. That rate will increase as your qualifications and experience do.

Fancy being part of something that makes a difference? Send a CV and get in touch!
