Summer School Activity Leaders

EF Oxford is looking for Summer School Activity Leaders! These roles are offered work on a full-time, flexible basis that will involve evening and weekend shifts (Monday to Friday: morning and evening or afternoon and evening plus Saturday or Sunday full day). Work will be available from June to August, potentially September, depending on volume. You will be working with students from 13-18 years old, experience is desirable but not essential. All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references.

40 hours per week
Between £336.00 and £456.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

  • Excellent communicator both with students, colleagues, and external clients
  • A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
  • Responsibilities:
  • Leads groups of international students on a variety of activities and day trips
  • Creates a lively atmosphere during excursions, delivering excellent customer service
  • Takes responsibility for health and safety of all students including completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency situations in line with EF policy and procedures
  • Delivers an initial welcome briefing to students before an activity
  • Keeps attendance records either on the EF application or paper-based
  • Researches excursion destinations, leads a guided tour at the destination and gives interesting information and facts to students
  • Organises and distributes relevant supplementary materials to students for activities
  • Ensures all records, receipts and evaluations are handed in to the Activity Manager at the end of activities
  • Ensures the welfare of all students, with a focus on students under 18 years of age, making sure robust procedures are followed to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
  • Liaises with co-leaders and the Activities Manager to discuss how to improve future activities and gives a thorough handover after each activity or event to aid future planning
  • Attends and assists the Activity Manager with large events such as graduation ceremonies/welcome parties
  • Ensures the EF behaviour code is followed by all students at all times and informs the management immediately if there are any issues or problems
  • Is a trained First Aider (preferrable but not essential)
  • Assists with other duties as requested by the Activity Manager or Centre Manager.

Extra information

Accommodation can be provided either in Host Family or in Residence. A fee will be deducted from your weekly salary if you choose this option. If in residence you will be on a rota to monitor students at meal times as well as other light duties when needed - more info can be provided at interview.
