Intern as a Proofreader (Native English Speaker and Student of Portuguese) in São Paulo, Brazil

At Global Translations.BR we are looking for a native English speaker and current student of Portuguese to work as an intern in São Paulo. This is a temporary part time contract, you would work 30 hours per week for a minimum of three months)

What are you going to do:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Committed and enthusiastic students who have an academic background in languages and an interest in the world of translation.

We are currently recruiting for 2023 and 2024 and exact dates can be adjusted to the candidate's schedule.

CANDIDATES MUST:
Be native-level English speakers who are currently undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Portuguese and/or Translation.

Have a level of spoken Portuguese at least at intermediate level.

Be able to stay in Brazil for a period of at least three months (ideally up to six).

Be able to work 30 hours per week. 6 hour shifts Monday - Friday: morning shift (8am-2pm) or afternoon shift (12pm-6pm) available.

THE INTERNSHIP OFFERS:
Experience in the areas of proofreading and the revision of translated texts, short translations, transcriptions and the formatting of texts.

Experience in human resources in the hiring of future interns.

SALARY:
A R$1000 monthly wage, plus an extra R$100 per month for travel expenses.
