What are you going to do:

You'll be working during the day to teach programming courses to young people at our summer camps. Full training is provided. You'll be teaching the most exciting Tech courses in the UK such as 3D CAD & 3D printing, drone racing, AI/Python, and Unity/C#.

There are also a limited number of future engineering/computer science internships that may also be available for top tutors who have demonstrated excellent skills at our camps.

For Unity/C#, Javascript and Python, you must have excellent programming skills.  For 3D Printing you should be highly skilled in Fusion 360.  For Drone Racing you need to have good drone-racing skills (in FPV, not just line of sight).  Applications without at least one of these specific skills should not apply.  You will be tested on these skills during your interview.

You will also be required to help with other duties at camp and (for the Winchester venue) will need to stay on-site.

What we offer:

  • Full training
  • Excellent pay
  • Accommodation / Food (Winchester venue only)
  • Supportive work environment & support of full time manager
  • Excellent experience and reference opportunity for further work in technical/ICT field
  • Full support (online curriculum for students, course guides, etc)

What we ask:

  • Must have strong and demonstrable technical skills
  • You should be registered as a university student
  • You will be required to complete a short programming challenge during the interview or demonstrate/explain your skills in the required topic(s)
  • You must enjoy working with children
  • You must be a good communicator
  • You must have at least 1 full year remaining at university if studying a subject like computing or engineering, or working in a field like education where extended summer holidays allow you to also spend a number of weeks with us at camp
  • You must be based in the UK and be able to work without visa
  • Ideal for undergrad in engineering or computer science

Extra information

You'll be working at one of our three summer camp venues. You must be available for at least all weeks running at one venue.

Venue locations:

  1. Winchester (residential venue - all accommodation/food provided so you just need to be able to get to the venue on the first day and return back home on the last) July 27 - August 23
  2. Fulham (non-residential venue, so you must have accommodation locally) July 22 - August 16 running Mondays-Fridays 9:00am-5:00pm
  3. Abingdon (non-residential venue, so you must have accommodation locally) July 15 - August 9

You'll be working with a small group of children aged 9-17 and following curriculum that we have developed.  Hours at the day venues are generally 9am-5pm although at our residential venue some weekend and evening work is required.

We offer a highly supportive environment.  Most of our tutors return for multiple years and find the experience and reference opportunity for such a technical position very useful for future jobs.
