Events Management Intern

We are seeking a highly organised Events Management Intern to support the creation and management of a range of events run by both Community Land Scotland and Member organisations.

15 hours per week
£10.42 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Events Management Intern will support the creation and management of a range of events run by both Community Land Scotland and Member organisations. These will include:

  • Supporting up to 40 community landowners across Scotland to participate in Community Land Week (CLW). This will include creating web listings and social media assets for individual events, overseeing the invoicing and paying of bursaries to participating groups, and coordinating with CLS PR and Communications Manager about national and regional press.
  • Supporting CLS Development Manager and Hub Manager in delivery of Parliamentary reception in January 2024.
  • Supporting CLS Development Officer in the planning of Cold Spot events.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of organising and managing a range of on and offline events
  • Experience of using a range of software and apps
  • IT literacy and ability to learn new tech platforms

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience writing website articles and blog pieces
  • Experience of using Canva
  • Knowledge of GDPR best practice
  • Budget management

  • Excellent organisational abilities

  • Flexibility and enthusiasm
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
