PRE-REGISTRATION DEVELOPMENT -OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Are you an Occupational Therapy student due to graduate in 2024? We are looking to be able to offer promises of employment as Rotational Band 5 Occupational therapist in our Grimsby or Scunthorpe based hospital service.

37 hours per week
Between £28,407 and £34,581 Per Year

What are you going to do:

The purpose of this post is to provide a high standard of physiotherapy or occupational therapy service 
undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner. Participate in the band 5 rotational scheme which involves 6 monthly rotations working across a range of acute and community settings.

Assess and manage clinical risk within own and delegated patient caseloads.

Undertake comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex 
presentations or multiple pathologies.

Evaluate patient progress, reassess and alter treatment programmes as required.

Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients to facilitate and progress rehabilitation and treatment programmes.

Be responsible for maintaining accurate, comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Standards of Practice.

Be responsible for maintaining own competency to practice through CPD activities, and 
maintain a portfolio which reflects personal development.

Be aware of the individual’s responsibility under Health and Safety legislation and take appropriate action when necessary.
