Senior Practitioner - Children with Disabilities Team - Safeguarding EastBirmingham Children’s Trust has been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The report confirms the progress we are making. Birmingham Children’s Trust is a great destination for work and career development.The Children with disabilities service are looking for experienced Senior Practitioners to join our teams across the city.We are looking for ambitious professionals with a proven track record in safeguarding who will work with children with disabilities and their families, undertake management of complex situations,  complete assessments of exceptional quality, managing interventions through child in need planning, supporting children in care, safeguarding and court work and working aspirationally to support all  our children in preparing for adulthood.The role involves the implementation, monitoring and reviewing of child friendly plans within multi agency meetings relating to the assessed needs of the children and young people we work with. Developing effective working partnerships with children, families and the professionals around them to ensure disabled children have the same opportunities and non-disabled peers.You will have previous experience of supervising and mentoring newly qualified social workers and students and ensure effective casework in a highly pressurised environment with an encouraging, supportive and collaborative consistent approach to management.You will be a team player working with colleagues in a range of disciplines, sharing knowledge and providing support and advice to deliver the best possible outcomes for local children and their families.Birmingham Children’s Trust continues to go from strength to strength.
