Summer Marquee Erector

Job description

Working along side our experienced team you'll be erecting and dismantling marquees throughout the South-East, mainly in Surrey. Work is available from May till September.

Marquee work is the perfect summer job for students who want to avoid being stuck indoors over the 3+ month break, instead, looking to get outside during the best time of the year, improving their tan and getting fit, whilst getting paid to do it. The role is based around a basic 42.5hr week (Mon-Fri, don't worry the weekends are yours to keep, weekend work is not likely), plus overtime, summer months being the busiest months of the year can mean 55hr+ weeks, but as you're being paid an hourly rate, it's all money in the bank.

A normal day will involve loading the Lorries with all necessary equipment, and setting off to site, be it for a wedding, corporate event or birthday party. Having arrived at site, you will be assisting the foreman in the erection of the marquee within a team of. Once completed, you'll return to the yard to load up for the next job.

Responsibilities
• Working alongside and assisting our experienced team during the busy summer season.
• Erecting and dismantling bespoke marquees across the South-East.
• Loading and Unloading Lorries.
• Ensuring all jobs are finished to highest quality.
• Maintaining the yard and organisation of equipment.

Requirements
• You need to be fit and not afraid of hard work as the job is very physically demanding and requires heavy lifting.
• Positive can-do attitude, keeping the team moral up is key.
• Well presented, as you'll be customer facing.
• Committed and reliable: hours can be long, and a team effort is expected at all times.
• Must be able to get to the yard in Great Bookham for 8am, preferably without relying on public transport.
